Nashville Corporate Gala Band: Live Music & Line Dancing at Gaylord Opryland
Updated: Sep 24
The Mobile Homeboys recently took over Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville for a corporate awards banquet and gala, providing live music from dinner through the final dance.
For this event, we brought the full band with Katie McDougal on female vocals, interactive line dancing, and our own sound and lighting setup. Working with the event planner, we built an entertainment experience that could change with the room throughout the night, starting in the background and ending very much in the foreground.
From Dinner Music to a Full-Band Party
The evening started with casual live music while guests ate dinner, mingled, and enjoyed the awards banquet. We kept things relaxed enough for conversation while still giving the room the feel of live Nashville entertainment.
Once the formal portion of the evening wrapped, it was time to shift gears.
Line dance instruction gave guests an easy way to get out of their seats and onto the dance floor together before we transitioned into the high-energy portion of the night. With Katie joining the full band on vocals, we had plenty of flexibility to read the room and keep the party moving.
It was exactly the kind of background-to-foreground transition we love for corporate events: the entertainment could complement the event when it needed to, then become the event when the time was right.
Sound, Lighting & AV Coordination at Gaylord Opryland
There was also plenty happening behind the scenes.
The Mobile Homeboys provided sound and lighting for the performance while working directly with the event team to connect our setup with Gaylord Opryland's existing AV system.
For an event moving between dinner, an awards program, live music, line dancing, and a full-band performance, that coordination matters. Working with the production team helped keep the transitions smooth and allowed the entire night to feel like one cohesive event rather than a series of separate pieces.
