Thoughtfully Programmed Live Music for Elevated Events

We were honored to be part of Serena Marron and Nick Rugoff’s wedding weekend at Blackberry Farm, a multi-day celebration later featured in Vogue. The weekend was a perfect example of what happens when thoughtful planning, creative collaboration, and intentional live music come together.

Music Designed to Support the Experience

The Mobile Homeboys were brought in for the Friday night hoedown — one of the weekend’s most energetic and guest-forward events. Rather than treating music as a standalone element, the evening was intentionally programmed to encourage participation and connection.

In addition to live band performance, the hoedown included a dedicated line-dancing instructor who guided guests through classic steps. This combination of live music and interactive entertainment created an immediate sense of momentum on the dance floor and invited guests of all comfort levels to participate early and often.

From a production standpoint, we tailored our band configuration, sound, and pacing to the flow of the evening — allowing for a seamless transition from dinner into dancing and keeping energy consistent throughout the night. As Vogue noted, guests danced well past sore feet, a reflection of both strong planning and an engaged crowd.

Collaboration Behind the Scenes

This weekend came together through close collaboration across every vendor involved, led by Stefanie Cove & Co.. Clear communication and creative alignment made it possible for each element — music included — to support the overall vision rather than compete with it.

This is the environment where we do our best work: partnering early with planners who value intentional programming and understand how live music fits into the larger guest experience.

Why This Approach Works

For planners designing elevated private events and wedding weekends, this celebration highlights a few key principles:

  • Music planned as part of the event’s overall flow

  • Interactive moments that invite guest participation

  • Flexible band configurations designed for the space and moment

  • Trusted collaboration between planners and creative partners

Being included in a Vogue feature was an honor — but what matters most to us is contributing to events that feel effortless for guests and well-executed behind the scenes.
